North Nibley restricted Bayshill to a miserly 136 as it would turn out to be. Jack Wyatt and Adrian Pierce batted well for a hard fought 38 off 15 or so overs. Jack went on to make 35 before being bowled at which point the score was 87. Alex Van Dyke then on 25 accelerated to a rapid 58 with some great hitting. His partnership with Tom Liley 11* was 49.
North Nibley ate away at the target enthusiastically hitting regularly, 10 per over. Michael Harding suddenly injected some doubt with a triple wicket maiden that included a possible hat trick ball. After this one piece of Bayshill brilliance, the game shifted back to North Nibley.
Jamie Liley, just 11 years of age, bowled the last full over for just one run, before other team finished the job.
A good if one-sided game played in the right spirit.
Drinks enjoyed in The New Inn afterwards – must save up again for next year. ?
