Bayshill won the toss and chose to bat in the Arctic tundra-like conditions of Cowley.

Fran Stirrup and Ajit Singh both retired on 28, using 13 & 17 balls respectively. Lloyd Parker also reached the magical retirement number of 25 with the last delivery of the innings off 26 balls.

Cowley struggled to get going in reply and found themselves on 8 with six batsmen already dismissed. In a spirited rear-guard action Cowley pushed on to reach 85, losing a further 2 wickets. Nick retired on 26, with David unbeaten on 14 & Ed on 7* at the finish.

The game was played in good spirit with most players behaving in exemplary fashion.
